Director Statement

Pink Elephant creates space to witness a middle-aged friendship between a cis woman and non-binary person, forging a pathway to understand what it is to be in a body that either fits your identity, or that shifts the way we relate to the bodies we are in.

We hope that the relationship between Laura and Charlie, and the issues explored – will start a dialogue for audiences and anyone curious about the realities presented through the friendship. Pink Elephant will leave viewers with the overwhelming resonance that empathy and compassion can evolve, regardless of gender and age.
