Director Statement

Duda’s conflict is a human question with no objective answer. However, we see in her journey a maturation in terms of her own loneliness and the multiple possibilities of companionship, especially when we talk about LGBTQIAP+ people. More than a film about relationships, Dinner for Six is about human connections. And this doesn’t just happen in front of the cameras, but also behind them. The development of the script began in 2020 and we filmed in 2023, completely independently, only with crowdfunding donations and borrowed equipment. The cast and crew are made up of 98% women and LGBTQIAP+ people, all involved in the narrative, free to contribute creatively and build this story collectively. I’m proud that it’s finished and ready to show the world a film made with so much effort and love. Cheers!
