Director Statement

My wife, Caroline, was diagnosed with autism at 46 years of age and immediately we started looking for information and resources to learn as much as we could. There was a ton of stuff available for kids (specifically boys) but a lack of information about women. And the intersection of queerness and autism … well that information was almost non-existent. So together we tried to capture what this moment in time is like for her as a queer, autistic woman to receive a late-diagnosis and how it’s both affirming and alienating.
